










On March 14, 2009 he lit his stepdaughter on fire after spraying her with lighter fluid. The inferno then lit his entire home on fire, where his entire family was residing.
Instead of leaving his family to die, Newberry ‘saved’ his entire family, falsely convincing reporters on the scene that he was a ‘hero’.
Newberry was sentenced to life in prison, plus 165 months, by a judge in Sedgwick County court Thursday.
According to Kakeland, Newberry is eligible for parole in 25 years.
