A drunken fool was filmed climbing on to the roof of a speeding car – before “surfing” on the windshield. (The Sun)
Shocking footage of the reckless stunt, shot in America, has sparked outrage on YouTube after it was posted by a user called johnjuly20.
In the video’s description, he wrote: “My friend Tyler climbs on to hood of car and I drive one handed from passenger seat while the cruise is set at 80mph and hold my phone out the window with other hand and record him…..crazy mother f*****.”
The 1min 24sec clip shows barefoot “Tyler” pulling himself through the sunroof before balancing precariously on the car’s windscreen.
He then goes on to make a series of obscene gestures at shocked oncoming motorists.
One YouTube viewer commented: “Hey that’s fun…come talk to families who have lost someone carsurfing…and then tell them your brilliant plan to do this…sure that they would love to hear it.”
Another wrote: “That’s great there driving around drunk and one of them is standing outside on the windshield now i know how dumb a**es die…..”
A third posted: “When you die, you’re going to need two caskets one for your body and one for your balls.”
Last year, a teenage boy from Essex was left fighting for his life after a car surfing stunt went wrong.
The thrill-seeking 19-year-old, who was seen standing on top of a moving vehicle, suffered a serious head injury when he was thrown on to the road.
And in 2007, A-level student Andrew Travers was killed when he fell from the roof of a car in Chesterton, Warwickshire, while car surfing.
