You know what they say about airline food.
Victoria Cleven, 42, found live maggots squirming inside the snack-pack of the Sydney Biscuit Company’s “Trail Mix” nuts she ate while on board a Qantas flight from Los Angeles to Melbourne.
Cleven’s 15-year-old son also checked another two packets they had received when boarding, only to discover the same situation.
According to Mirror News, the firm promised to refund the trip, but only offered Cleven about AUD $400, which is only a fraction of the AUD$1,600 she paid for the flight.
However, Qantas has, in fact, contacted the supplier and is investigating the cause of the problem, which may be a result of moths getting into the packets while they were in stored at a warehouse.
